KI’s Science Communications Director, Camille, can be counted among those trained scientists who got bitten by the KI bug. She was hired to co-produce a post-event report for a meeting of computer scientists and cancer biologists. There she experienced deliberate creativity, team science and a desire to work with KI’s wise-cracking facilitators full-time.

Camille has a B.A. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, a Ph.D. from the University of California (UC), Berkeley and a certificate from the Science Communication Program at the UC Santa Cruz. After jobs in journalism and academic medical school public relations, she spent 16 years as a freelance science writer specializing in health, medical science and the business of biotech.

At KI, Camille tells the stories of the cool team science that happens after a KI event ends. Her coworkers appreciate her enthusiasm for science and clients find her quirky writing voice just the right fit for KI. (Disclaimer: She wrote this and is shamelessly attempting to ensure job security.)
